UK-based electronic artist Northcape debuted at Monotonik netlabel. His Some Bright Valley contains chilled-out strings and many other relaxing sounds.
Previously having debuted a couple of self-released albums, this first netlabel release starts out with the cutely meandering Red Panda, before moving on to the even more gorgeously pastoral, almost triphop-flecked A Part Of The Forest. Also in there – Low Lying Mist and EP closer On The Hill, which uses smart and beautiful repetition to make a chilled-out, signature Monotonik sound, awkward percussion making things all the better.
The list of tracks:
1. “Red Panda”
2. “A Part Of The Forest”
3. “Low Lying Mist”
4. “On The Hill”
I found link to this release at InqMag blog.
I’m going to give Northcape a listen. Thanks for posting. :]
